Patterson 15s to open play in Alabama Friday

The Patterson 13-to-15-year-old All-Stars will begin play in the Babe Ruth Southwest Region Tournament Friday in Andalusia, Alabama.

The Morgan City 10-year-old All-Stars won the Louisiana Dixie Youth Minors South Regional in Vidalia Tuesday with a 12-7 victory against Ville Platte. Morgan City will advance to a best-of-three series this weekend in Alexandria where it will face the Louisiana Dixie Youth Minors North Regional winner, Ruston, Friday and Saturday. Morgan City also won the sportsmanship award at the regional tournament.
