St. Mary Central finished as runner-up at the District 3 Majors Tournament this weekend in Morgan City, qualifying for the Louisiana Dixie Youth North Regional in Shreveport.
The Morgan City 10-year-old All-Star team won the District 3 championship Sunday, routing St. Mary Central, 16-2, to clinch a spot in the Louisiana Dixie Youth South Regional.
Morgan City’s 11-year-old All-Stars swept a best-of-three series with Thibodaux this weekend at Peltier Park to clinch the District 3 title.
Area all-star baseball tournaments will continue this weekend as the 10-year-old and 12-year-old Dixie Youth tournaments will be held at Cypress and Complex parks, respectively, in Morgan City.
The Morgan City 7-and-8-year-old All-Stars finished 1-2 at the District 3 AA Tournament at the Bayou Vista Community Center this weekend.
