The team now will continue postseaosn play at the Cal Ripken Southwest Region Tournament, which will be held in Mobile, Alabama, beginning July 12. The Patterson 8U All-Stars won the Cal Ripken 8-year-old Machine Pitch National state title Sunday at Kemper Williams Park near Patterson, topping St. Charles 4-3.

The Patterson 12U All-Stars won the Babe Ruth State Softball title Saturday in Luling, topping Jefferson Parish Recreation Department—East 8-4. It's the second top-two finish for the 12U squad, which last year finished as state runner-up before winning the Southwest Region Title and the 12U World Series. Patterson will return to action in the Southwest Region Tournament, which will be held July 4-8 in Mountain Houme, Arkansas.
