The Central Catholic High School volleyball team presents a check valued at $1,200 to Beth Hamilton of Oncologics in New Iberia prior to the team's Pink Game against St. John Tuesday in Morgan City. Central Catholic outlasted St. John in four games by a score of 25-16, 27-29, 25-22 and 25-16. The matchup was a top-five battle in Division V as St. John entered the game ranked No. 4 in the latest Louisiana High School Athletic Association volleyball rankings, while Central Catholic is ranked No. 5. The Patterson Lumberjills knocked off Franklin on Senior Night in a District 2-IV contest.
Patterson won 3-0 (25-16, 25-15, 25-9).

Patterson High School defeated Division III Abbeville High School 3-0 in nondistrict prep volleyball action at Abbeville Monday.
Patterson won by scores of 25-13, 25-19 and 25-6.
Berwick High School's Josh Jones carries the football during nondistrict action against Ascension Episcopal. The Panthers fell Friday to Kaplan High School in District 8-3A action on the road. Berwick (5-1 overall, 1-1 in district) will return home for its next District 8-3A contest when it hosts area rival Patterson High Friday at 7 p.m. (The Daily Review/Bill Decker)
The Berwick Panthers seemed to be in control of Friday’s District 8-3A contest, rallying from a 16-7 deficit to take a 28-16 halftime advantage.
