The No. 8 Central Catholic Lady Eagles gave top-seed Ouachita Christian a game but fell 51-33 in Division IV quarterfinal action in Monroe Thursday.

No. 8 Metairie Park Country Day defeated No. 9 Central Catholic 30-15 in Division IV first-round football playoff action Friday.

Central Catholic will have its hands full in the opening round Division IV playoffs Friday when Ouachita Christian comes to Tiger Stadium in Morgan City.

The bad news for Central Catholic entering this season was that it lost three senior leaders from a season ago, including leading scorer and all-state performer Ja’len Johnson.
