Galatea's parade rolls Sunday with Nike and Hannibal

The women's Krewe of Galatea held its parade Sunday in Morgan City with participants from the children's Krewe of Nike and the Krewe of Hannibal following their procession.
The Krewe of Hannibal will celebrate with a ball at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Morgan City Municipal Auditorium. This is an invitation-only event.
Past kings and queens, and krewe members of the Krewe of Hannibal were invited to participate in the celebration July 22 that marked the unveiling of a plaque honoring the krewe’s past royalty. The plaque in the Morgan City Municipal Auditorium’s concourse also honors the krewe’s standing as the area’s oldest African American Mardi Gras krewe.

King Hannibal XLIII Kendrick Albert-Garner and Queen Cleopatra XLIII Trang Ho unveiled the plaque honoring past Krewe of Hannibal royalty during a celebration held July 22 at the Morgan City Municipal Auditorium. They were also the honorees of a kings and queens luncheon that followed at the Petroleum Club of Morgan City.
On July 22, the Krewe of Hannibal Carnival Club honored its past royalty with a commemorative plaque unveiled at the Morgan City Municipal Auditorium.
Royalty XL — King Hannibal Cornelius “C.C.” Stewart Jr. and Queen Cleopatra Thetis Dural will bid adieu Saturday when the Krewe of Hannibal presents it tableau 8 p.m.
The Krewe of Hannibal will present its annual ball at 8 p.m. Feb. 3 at the Morgan City Municipal Auditorium. This is an invitation-only event.
