Plaque honors Krewe of Hannibal past royalty
On July 22, the Krewe of Hannibal Carnival Club honored its past royalty with a commemorative plaque unveiled at the Morgan City Municipal Auditorium.
The unveiling was done by reigning King Hannibal XLIII Kendrick Albert-Garner and Queen Cleopatra XLIII Trang Ho. The krewe placed its plaque in the concourse, honoring its standing as the area’s oldest African American Mardi Gras krewe.
Past kings, queens and krewe members were invited to attend.
A kings and queens luncheon was held at the Petroleum Club of Morgan City following the dedication. Honorees of the luncheon were Albert-Garner and Ho.
