A recent upward trend in St. Mary Parish sales and use tax collections may indicate a stabilization of the area’s economy, according to a parish official.
Franklin’s Christmas lighting contest will be Dec. 14.
There is no registration. Residents should turn on lights by 6 p.m. for judging.
