Snow made a rare appearance in St. Mary Parish on Friday morning, when schools were closed and several bridges were blocked off, too.

U.S. 90 bridge closed in Morgan City-Berwick

The U.S. 90 bridge in Morgan City was closed Friday morning. Traffic is being diverted to the La. 182 bridge, according to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office.

St. Mary Parish public schools, Holy Cross Elementary and Central Catholic High School have canceled Friday classes because of the threat of winter weather.
