Patterson Garden Club elected and installed officers at its May 16 meeting. The meeting was held at the home of Iris Roy.

Jean and Darryl Chauvin hosted the Bayou Vista Garden Club May meeting at their home on Bayou Teche in Patterson. This was the last meeting of the 2016-17 season.

St. Mary AARP Chapter 4435 held its monthly meeting on May 1 at the St. Mary Senior Citizen Center, home of St. Mary AARP, in Morgan City.

Southern gardens topic of April BVGC meeting

During Bayou Vista Garden Club’s April meeting, member Annita Blanco provided brochures and shared pictures of the Southern gardens that she has visited.
Guest speaker for the Patterson Garden Club March 21 meeting was Luke Bienvenu. He discussed beekeeping. Club Secretary Sharon Larson presented him with a gift of appreciation.
