Area trio earns Class 3A All-State honors

Berwick High School had five players selected to six different positions on the All-District 8-3A football first team, including the district’s Co-Offensive Most Valuable Player.

Patterson High School rising senior Dajon Richard darted into college football recruiting national spotlight this summer when he ran one of the fastest 40-yard dash times in the country.

Berwick High School had four selections, while Patterson had two.

Richard scored the game-winning touchdown late in the fourth quarter to secure the win. He rushed 17 times for 112 yards and threw for another 139 and two touchdowns.
