St. Mary Parish's second COVID-19 fatality was an elderly woman who died Thursday afternoon at Ochsner St. Mary, Coroner Eric Melancon said.
Five new St. Mary cases of COVID-19 were reported at noon Wednesday, bringing the parish's total to 81 after 312 tests.
St. Martin now has 112 cases and four deaths after 137 tests.
The first COVID-19 death in Assumption Parish was reported at noon Tuesday by the Louisiana Office of Public Health. Three more positive tests for COVID-19 were reported for St.
Six new St. Mary COVID-19 cases were reported between noon Sunday and noon Monday, according to the Louisiana Office of Public Health.
Beginning Monday, St. Mary Parish grocery stories, dollar stores, convenience stories and pharmacies will be limited to 6 a.m.-8 p.m.
