The Morgan City Youth Bowling League held its awards banquet Tuesday night at Charlie’s Lanes in Morgan City.

Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Massabielle 1134, celebrated its 88th anniversary in August. During the August meeting, Court Massabielle recognized members with Years of Service Awards. From left are Frances Listi and Ina Miller, 25 years; and Regent Veronica Governale. Awarded for 50 years of service was Mary Lou Conrad. Court Massabielle members participate in activities in service to others in the community, promoting the CDA mission of unity and charity. The organization meets the third Wednesday of each month (no July meeting) at Sacred Heart Cafeteria in Morgan City. Catholic women, 18 years of age or older, are eligible for membership.

All-District award winners for Central Catholic High School baseball are Gregory Leger, Drake Angeron, Samarick Paul, Mitchel Lemoine, Blake Hidalgo, Adam Dupuis and Thomas Garber, first-team; Tyler Longman, Bryce Grizzaffi and Thomas Mire, second-team; and Brooks Thomas, Nathan Hebb and Luke Barbier, honorable mention. Not all honorees were in attendance.
