Tri-City area summer league bowlers recognized

The Morgan City U.S. Bowling Congress Bowling Association held its Little Big League and Morgan City Youth Summer League awards ceremony Monday at Charlie’s Lanes.

In an upset-filled bi-regional, the Berwick High School boys bowling team finished with the best record among local squads. Berwick, No. 10 seed, upset No. 7 Teurlings Catholic before defeating No. 2 seed Barbe. The Panthers' postseason run came up one game short of the state's Final Four as H.L. In a bracket dominated by upsets, Morgan City’s and Berwick’s boys teams were no exception at the state’s western bi-regional Monday at Holiday Lanes in Bossier City.
