Patterson rolls into Babe Ruth 12U semifinals

The Patterson 12U All-Stars bounced back from its first loss in Babe Ruth play this year with two dominant victories Thursday to advance to Friday’s 12U World Series semifinals.

Patterson drops final pool play game

Two East Side All-Star pitchers combined for a perfect game as the Indiana-based squad defeated the Patterson 12U All-Stars, 1-0, in Babe Ruth World Series play in Jensen Beach, Florida, Wednesday.

The Patteson 12U All-Star softball team clinched the Babe Ruth Southwest Regional Championship Saturday evening with a 16-13 win against Jefferson Parish Recreation Department — East in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Patterson, which finished the tournament with a 4-0 mark, will advance to its second straight Babe Ruth World Series in Jensen Beach, Florida, later this month as a 12U squad where it will try to defend its 2017 title. It also is the third consecutive berth for the league in the world series as many of the team's players advanced as 10-year-old All-Stars.
