A traffic stop Monday helped Morgan City police arrest a man wanted in a drive-by shooting, Police Chief James F. Blair said.
Seven new COVID-19 cases, including six in Assumption, were reported Wednesday in three local parishes by the Louisiana Office of Public Health.
Free drive-up COVID-19 testing will continue 9 a.m.-4 p.m. through Friday at the St. Mary Parish Health Unit, 1200 David Drive.
New Industries, a specialty steel fabricator and manufacturer of large diameter pressure vessels in Morgan City, said Tuesday that it has purchased the operating assets of Honiron LLC.
