Area bowling teams record mixed results this week

The Berwick High School boy bowling team fell to H.L. Bourgeois 19-8 in nondistrict bowling action at Charlie’s Lanes in Morgan City Monday.
Kyle Valdez led Berwick with a 638 series (255, 215, 168), while Isaaiah Williams bowled a 579 series (209, 171, 199). Other top Berwick bowlers were Ethan Blanchard with a 191 game and Jackson Kenney with games of 166 and 189.
Berwick’s nondistrict match Thursday against Vandebilt Catholic at Charlie’s Lanes was postponed and hasn’t been rescheduled.
Berwick (0-2 overall, 0-1 in district) will return to action Monday when it hosts Ellender in nondistrict action at Charlie’s Lanes. Wednesday, Berwick will meet Morgan City in District 3 action at Charlie’s Lanes. Both matches will begin at 3:40 p.m.
Morgan City finishes 0-2
The Morgan City Tigers finished 0-2 this week in bowling action, falling to Central Lafourche Monday and Ellender Wednesday, both in nondistrict action.
Monday, Morgan City fell to Central Lafourche 24-3 at Creole Lanes in Houma.
Devin Hidalgo led Morgan City with a 208 game, while Richard Sartwell contributed a 169 game.
Wednesday, Morgan City fell to Ellender 24-3 at Bowl South in Houma.
Kyle Waldron led Morgan City with games of 193 and 209. Other top Morgan City bowlers were Tyler Ho with a 165 game and Hidalgo with a 162 performance.
Morgan City (0-4) will return to action with two matches next week at Charlie’s Lanes in Morgan City. Morgan City will meet H.L. Bourgeois Monday in nondistrict action, while Wednesday, the squad will open District 3 play against Berwick. Both matches are set for 3:40 p.m. starts.
CCHS is 0-2
The Central Catholic Eagles finished 0-2 this week, falling to E.D. White in district play and Thibodaux.
Monday, Central Catholic fell to E.D. White 25-2 at Charlie’s Lanes in Morgan City.
Blaine McNemar led Central Catholic with a 191 game.
Wednesday, Central Catholic fell to Thibodaux 18-9 at Creole Lanes in Houma.
Ethan Majewski led Central Catholic with a 600 series, with games of 201, 168 and 231.
Central Catholic (0-4, 0-1) will return to action Monday when it meets South Lafourche in nondistrict action at Charlie’s Lanes.
Lady Tigers
finish week 1-1
Morgan City split its nondistrict games this week, falling to Central Lafourche and defeating Ellender.
Monday, Morgan City fell to Central Lafourche 18-9 at Creole Lanes in Houma.
Juliet Thibodeaux led Morgan City with a 526 series with games of 200, 157 and 169. Other top Morgan City bowlers were Montana Pillaro with a 187 game; Kameron Patureau, a 178 game; and Aymie Pearce, a 165 game.
Wednesday, Morgan City defeated Ellender 17-10 at Bowl South in Houma.
Thibodeaux led Morgan City with a 514 series, including games of 155, 171 and 188. Patureau added a 160 game.
Morgan City (1-3) will return to action Monday when it hosts H.L. Bourgeois in nondistrict action at Charlie’s Lanes in Morgan City. The Lady Tigers will begin District 3 play Wednesday when they meet Berwick at Charlie’s Lanes. Both matches will begin at 3:40 p.m.
Lady Panthers
drop game
The Berwick Lady Panthers fell to H.L. Bourgeois 25-2 in nondistrict bowling action at Charlie’s Lanes in Morgan City Monday.
Jaci Lynch led Berwick with games of 190 and 159.
Berwick’s District 3 match against Vandebilt Catholic Wednesday was postponed, and a makeup date has not been set.
Berwick (1-2, 1-0) will return to action Monday when it hosts Ellender in nondistrict play at Charlie’s Lanes before meeting Morgan City Wednesday in District 3 action at Charlie’s Lanes. Both matches are set for 3:40 p.m. starts.
Lady Eagles fall
The Central Catholic Lady Eagles fell to H.L. Bourgeois 20-7 in nondistrict action at Creole Lanes in Houma Wednesday.
Jolie Boudreaux led Central Catholic with a 561 series, with games of 170, 190 and 201. Emily Price recorded a 503 series with games of 150, 161 and 192. Sara Thibodeaux added games of 160 and 158 to lead the Lady Eagles.
Central Catholic (2-2) will return to action Monday when it meets South Terrebonne in a nondistrict matchup at Charlie’s Lanes.
