The Patterson 12U All-Star softball team won its second straight Babe Ruth World Series title Saturday in Jensen Beach, Florida. Patterson defeated Kentucky-based Jeffersontown All-Stars 3-2 via a walk-off single by Amaya Williams in the bottom of the sixth inning. Emily Lipari pitches Tuesday for the Patterson 12U Babe Ruth All-Stars. Lipari pitched one inning in relief allowing one hit and a walk while striking out three batters. Riley Chaisson, Patterson's starting pitcher, got the win after pitching four innings allowing one run and two hits while striking out four batters. It was the second pool-play win for Patterson as the team defeated hosted team Treasure Coast Athletic Association Wildcats of Jensen Beach, Florida, 11-1, in Babe Ruth World Series play.

The Patterson 12U All-Star softball team will look to win its second straight 12U title when it begins play in the Babe Ruth Softball World Series in Jensen Beach, Florida, Sunday. Patterson, which won the title in 2017, will play an exhibition game Sunday and pool play Monday through Wednesday before beginning bracket play Thursday. The Patterson 12U All-Stars will begin play at the Babe Ruth 12U World Series in Jensen Beach, Florida, Saturday. A year ago, Patterson’s 10U Softball Team finished third at the Babe Ruth World Series.
