The Patterson 8U All-Stars dropped their first pool play game at the Cal Ripken Invitational World Series 16-0 in five innings to West Raleigh All-Stars in Jensen Beach, Florida, Tuesday. The Patterson 8U All-Stars are participating in the Cal Ripken Invitational World Series in Jensen Beach, Florida, this week. Patterson opened pool play Tuesday when it met the West Raleigh All-Stars. Pool play will continue Wednesday and Thursday before double-elimination bracket play commences Friday. The Patterson 12U All-Star softball team won its second straight Babe Ruth World Series title Saturday in Jensen Beach, Florida. Patterson defeated Kentucky-based Jeffersontown All-Stars 3-2 via a walk-off single by Amaya Williams in the bottom of the sixth inning. Team members are, kneeling from left, Maddi St. Blanc, Emily Lipari, Kyla Samuels, Ella Hover, Hannah Domingue and Rylie Chaisson.
