Central Catholic hosted its 7th annual 7-on-7 football tournament at the Central Catholic High School practice field Saturday in Morgan City.

Atchafalaya Golf Association holds Stableford Tournament

The Atchafalaya Golf Association held its Stableford Tournament June 24 at The Atchafalaya at Idlewild near Patterson.

The Morgan City 10-year-old All-Stars finished their season as Louisiana Dixie Youth AAA State Runners-up. Morgan City fell to Ruston this weekend in two games in the best-of-three series at the Louisiana Dixie Youth AAA State Championship Series at Johnny Downs Sports Complex in Alexandria. Morgan City fell in game 1 16-5 in five innings and 10-6 in game 2. Despite the tough ending, it's the first state runner-up for a 10-year-old Morgan City team in 17 years. Members of this year's team are, kneeling from left, Landyn Ramagos, Conner Daigle, Byran Cordero, Franco Saleme, Lucas Pickens and Noah Guarisco.
