The company that operates Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City intends to merge with another company, but the hospital’s spokeswoman says the merger won’t change anything at Teche Regional.
The Morgan City Police Department will host a Neighborhood Watch meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6 at Doric #87 Masonic Lodge, located at 506 Second St.
A bedroom at a Morgan City home sustained heavy damage and a cat died in a fire that started late Tuesday night, Assistant Fire Chief John Price said. No people were injured in the fire.
