CENTERVILLE — St. Mary Parish public school students are counting down the days until May 26, when their summer vacation begins. Now they know when that vacation will end.
16th Judicial District indigent defender spokesperson Cecelia “Beanie” Bonin approached the parish council on Wednesday in regards to her financially struggling public defender’s office.
St. Mary Parish Council members approved a $2,000 allocation to help the Franklin Senior High School Future Business Leaders of America with costs to attend the state competition.
Three persons were arrested on drug charges when Chitimacha Police responded to a report of suspicious activity at Cypress Bayou Casino and Hotel.
