The Patterson Lumberjacks’ summer league team defeated P r a x a i r ( H . L . Bourgeois), 8-6, on the road Thursday in Swampland action.

Two softball players represented Morgan City High School on the Louisiana Sports Writers Association Class 4A All-State team.
Morgan City High School had one baseball player selected to the Louisiana Sports Writers Association Class 4A All-State team as junior Morrquise Charles was an honorable mention selection.
Skipper’s for Sports (Morgan City) split its contests with BCG Services (Covenant Christian) on the road Thursday, winning game one, 11-6, and falling in game two, 15-9.
Four Tri-City area softball players were recognized by the Louisiana Softball Coaches Association in their respective classes with all-state honors.
