CCHS to open playoffs Thursday against Highland Baptist

The bad news for Central Catholic entering this season was that it lost three senior leaders from a season ago, including leading scorer and all-state performer Ja’len Johnson. The good news was this year’s squad had no seniors, so it will get to play together for the next two years. With that in mind, Central Catholic Coach Ree Case adjusted the schedule accordingly, and three months later, his No. 9 seeded Eagles (14-14 overall, 4-2 in District 7-1A) enter the Division IV playoffs after tying for a district runner-up finish.
