CENTERVILLE — St. Mary Parish high school students will return to classes this fall in a four-period day, while middle school students will be using a six-period day.
One new COVID-19 fatality each in St. Martin and Assumption parishes was reported Wednesday afternoon.
The Louisiana Office of Public Health reported 52 new COVID-19 positives among St. Mary people and 46 in St. Martin in the 24 hours ending at noon Wednesday.
The tourism industry has been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, and locally, things are slower compared to years’ past.
