The Louisiana Office of Public Health reported 64 new COVID-19 positives among St. Mary, St. Martin and Assumption people for the 24 hours ending at midday Monday.
Priests lead people across a bridge in Leonville as part of a recent Fête-Dieu du Teche observance. This year's Fête will petition for an end to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event is scheduled for Aug. 15. The boat procession will travel 40 miles down Bayou Teche. The event also will mark the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
