The Patterson Lumberjacks swept a District 8-3A doubleheader from Abbeville Wednesday, winning 16-2 in five innings and 22-6 in four innings at Patterson.
The Berwick Panthers cruised past Abbeville in a District 8-3A doubleheader at home Tuesday, defeating the Wildcats 23-0 in three innings in game one and 11-0 in five innings in the second game.
Abbeville came to Patterson Friday looking to win the District 8-3A championship outright and for a little payback.
Abbeville secured the championship with a 56-44 win.
The Berwick girls’ basketball team wasn’t in rhythm for three quarters during Friday’s season finale at Berwick.
Morgan City fell to Abbeville at home Friday 83-58.
