One new confirmed COVID-19 case was reported in St. Mary, and the St. Martin and Assumption case counts were adjusted downward in the 24 hours ending at midday Monday.
Thirty-three new confirmed COVID-19 cases, 20 of them in St. Mary, were reported in three local parishes for the 48 hours ending at midday Sunday.
As of 4 p.m. today, Cleco has restored power to nearly 37,000 customers affected by the second winter storm, the company said.
The six confirmed COVID-19 cases reported for St. Martin Parish were the only new COVID positives reported in three local parishes for the 24 hours ending at midday Friday.
Teachers, school support staff members and daycare employees will be eligible for COVID-19 vaccinations beginning Monday, Gov. John Bel Edwards said Thursday at a press conference.
