The No. 4 Central Catholic High School volleyball team swept No. 5 St. John of Plaquemine 3-0 (25-23, 25-16) in Division V quarterfinal action Thursday at the Pontchartrain Center.
Berwick High School advanced to the Class 3A playoffs for the first time since 1996 a year ago.
Central Catholic High School will continue Division V volleyball postseason play Thursday when it faces St. John at 12:40 p.m.
