Patterson 10U All-Stars place fourth at state tournament

The Patterson 10U All-Stars finished 3-2 at the Cal Ripken State Tournament in Kentwood this weekend, good enough for a fourth place finish.

The Morgan City 10-year-old All-Stars won the District 3 AAA Tournament in Morgan City Sunday. Morgan City finished the tournament with a 3-0 mark. The local squad will continue play at the Louisiana Dixie Youth South Regional in Vidalia, which begins July 13. The Morgan City 10-year-old All-Stars won the District 3 AAA Tournament in Morgan City Sunday after finishing with a 3-0 mark.

The Patterson 12U All-Stars won the Cal Ripken State Title Sunday in Kenner, defeating Terrebonne, 11-0. Patterson finished the tournament 5-0, knocking off its five opponents by a combined 60-4 margin. Roy Jones was named the tournament's Most Vaulable Player. The team now advances to Cal Ripken 12U Southwest Regional in Florence, Alabama, July 11-16.
