Girard routs Patterson 10U team, 15-1, in game 1 of state championship series

Jefferson Parish-based team, Girard, defeated the Patterson 10-year-old All-Stars, 15-1, Friday in the first game of the Dixie Youth AAA baseball state championship series at Johnny Downs Sports Co

The Patterson 10-year-old All-Stars won the Louisiana Dixie Youth AAA South Regional Tuesday with consecutive wins against previously undefeated Ville Platte. Patterson won game one, 5-0, to force an if-necessary contest. In game two, Patterson came from behind for a 3-2 victory. THE RALLY BOYS: Patterson wins 2 straight to clinch South Regional title

The Patterson 10-year-old All-Stars knocked off undefeated Ville Platte twice Tuesday to win the Louisiana Dixie Youth South AAA Regional in Ruston.

Franklin 11U All-Stars head to World Series

Franklin’s 11U All-Stars are headed to Jonesboro, La., Thursday for the Dixie Youth World Series. This is the second year the team has taken the state championship title.

Patterson 10-year-old All-Star Dillon Richard reaches first base safely during District 3 Tournament action against St. Mary Central earlier this month. Patterson advanced to the tournament finale against Ville Platte after defeating Ruston, 8-5, Monday at the Louisiana Dixie Youth South Regional in Ruston. Becasue Ville Platte is undefeated, Patterson must defeat them twice to advance to this weekend's best, two-out-of three series in Alexandria for the state championship.
