The Bayou Horseshoe Pitchers Association will hold its annual Day in the Park at Kemper Williams Park Saturday at 10 a.m. Anyone interested in pitching organized Horseshoes should attend. No experience is needed. Cadets under age 12 pitch from 20 feet. Juniors under age 18 pitch from 30 feet. Women pitch from 30 feet, while adult men, ages 18-69 pitch from 40 feet. Elders (ages 70 and older) pitch from 30 feet. Horseshoe pitching is a fun, family and healthy sport. Spare Horseshoes will be available for anyone that does not have any.
