Area teams compete on baseball field in 7- and 8-year-old action

St. Mary Central finished 2-1 this weekend in the District 3-AA Dixie Youth baseball tournament to lead Tri-City area squads in action at Complex Park in Morgan City. St. Mary Central rebounded from a 3-1 loss to Patterson Friday to defeat Thibodaux, 17-4, Saturday, and Morgan City, 7-6, Sunday. Meanwhile, Morgan City and Patterson each finished the weekend 1-2. Morgan City defeated Thibodaux Friday but fell to Franklin Saturday, 13-4, and St. Mary Central Sunday.
