Two members of the Bayou Horseshoe Pitchers Association will compete in the 2018 National Horseshoe Pitchers Association World Horseshoe Pitching Championships, which begin Monday and run through July 21 in Florence, South Carolina. Local members Dwain Arceneaux of Thibodaux and Tim Gilmore of Bayou Vista will be competing. Arceneaux will compete in the Men’s H-1 group, while Gilmore will throw in the Elder’s A-2 division. In all, Louisiana will have 10 contestants at this year’s competition, which is ex-pected to have 1,026 competitors from 47 states along with Canada, South Africa and Norway.
