SULPHUR — Not enough timely hitting, coupled with a big sixth inning for South Beauregard doomed the Berwick Panthers as their season came to an end with a 6-1 loss in the Class 3A semifinals Thursday at McMurry Park.
While Berwick entered the bottom of the sixth inning down just 2-1, South Beauregard scored four runs in the frame but only had one hit.
