A rally by Patterson in its final at bat fell short in an 8-5 loss to Pope John Paul II at Patterson Tuesday.
While Pope John Paul II led 2-1 after an inning, the visitor put up four runs in the top of the fifth and single runs in the top of the sixth and seventh innings for an 8-2 advantage.
Patterson scored three runs in its final at bat, but it wasn’t enough.
