JANELLE LOUVIERE BOUDREAUX

December 17, 1943 – September 3, 2021
Janelle Louviere Boudreaux, a lifelong resident of Franklin, passed away at the age of 77 on Friday, September 3, 2021, at Abbeville General Hospital. Born on December 17, 1943 in Franklin, Janelle was the third of five children born to Silton and Lillie Louviere. She married the love of her life, Wilbert Boudreaux, and enjoyed 44 years of marriage until his passing in 2007. She retired from the St. Mary Parish School Board where she worked as a cafeteria tech for 22 years. Some of her favorite pastimes included arts and crafts, watching her wild birds, playing cards and crossword puzzles, reading, traveling, and especially family gatherings. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her two daughters, Connie B. Choate and her husband Ray and Marcia B. Ferguson and her husband Jeff; seven grandchildren, Brett Boudreaux and his fiancée Ashley, Desiree Choate and her fiancé Gavin, Krystal, Kristopher, Brittany, Madylynn, and Hayden Ferguson; five great grandchildren, Chloe, Kylie, Emily, and Trinity Boudreaux, and Chelynn Ferguson; her brother, Terrell Louviere; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Dupre’ and her husband Glen, Patsy Smith and her husband Wayne, Linda Boudreaux, JoAnn Forster and her husband Ray, and Cindy Louviere; brother-in-law, Gary Boudreaux and his wife Jean; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and her many friends at Maison Du Monde.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert J. Boudreaux; her parents, Silton Louviere and Lillie Louviere; three siblings, Dot Larson, Eldridge Louviere, and Gary Louviere; brothers-in-law, Bill Larson, Darrell Boudreaux, and Herman Bourliea Sr.; sisters-in-law, Debra Louviere and Edith Bourliea; and great granddaughter, Teagan Boudreaux.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 9th, at Church of the Assumption in Franklin during a 2:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Following the Mass she will be laid to rest with her dear Wilbert in the mausoleum in Franklin Cemetery. Father Joel Faulk will be the Celebrant for the Mass and conduct the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Ray Choate, Jeff Ferguson, Brett Boudreaux, Jeremy Smith, Andrew Smith, Wayne Smith, and Gary Boudreaux. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Ibert’s Mortuary from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. At 10:00 a.m. the recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Maison Du Monde for the loving and compassionate care given to Janelle.

Visitation will be observed on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at the St. John Baptist Church 3659 Highway 1, Napoleonville, La. 70390 from 9 a.m. until funeral services at 11 a.m. Dr. Louis Clark will officiate the services. CHARLOTTE R. FIKE SAVOIE

Funeral services for Charlotte R. Fike Savoie, longtime resident of Patterson, will be held Monday, September 13, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson during a 9:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Following the Mass she will be laid to rest in the mausoleum in St. Joseph Cemetery. Father Herb Bennerfield will be the Celebrant for the Mass and conduct the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Kristopher Savoie, Keith Savoie, Chanse Lombes, Kaleb Hue, Kaleb Davis, Shane DesOrmeaux, Kobi Lombes, and Shawn Fike. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Kwin Savoie, Kory Savoie, and Thomas Fike.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday, September 12th, at Ibert's Mortuary in Patterson from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, with the wake service and rosary held at 6:00 PM.

Charlotte was born on July 21, 1955 in Lafayette and passed away at the age of 66 on Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Ochsner St. Mary in Morgan City from complications of Covid-19 pneumonia.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt, Charlotte’s passion in life was definitely her family. Whether it was spur-of-the-moment adventures with her sister Charlene, spoiling her grandchildren, or simply spending time with those she loved, family was her anchor in life. She loved helping others in whatever way she could, was an avid reader, served as a den mother for the Cub Scouts and Webelos, and being a dog lover, even served as the official “veterinarian” for family and friends when their dogs needed some TLC. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to have known her.

Those she leaves to cherish her memory include her four children, Kwin M. Savoie and his wife Megan, Kristopher L. Savoie, Kimberly A. Savoie and her fiancé Harlon Cowsar II, and Kory J. Savoie and his fiancée Bonnie C. Tallada; five grandchildren, Kaleb Hue, Kiele Hue, Kollan Savoie, Karlee Cowsar, and Kevin J. Savoie; her twin sister, Charlene F. Lombes; her brother, Thomas Fike and his wife Jennifer; four brothers-in-law, Kirk J. Savoie and his wife Kathy, Keith P. Savoie and his fiancée Cheryl Jones, Kerry J. Savoie and his wife Rhonda, and Kenny H. Savoie and his wife Margaret; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kevin Lawrence Savoie; her parents, Harold Fike and Barbara “Bonnie” Broussard Fike; her brother, Robert N. Patterson delivers donated items to Lockport

Lockport Mayor Edward "Coach Ed" Reinhardt of Lockport received donated items collected in Patterson, passed along by Mayor Rodney A. Grogan, city workers and a volunteer from Beaumont, Texas. The items were collected at the Patterson Community Center to victims of Hurricane Ida.

USPS says mail delivery can resume in 703 ZIP area

From the United States Postal Service:

The Louisiana District has announced the resumption of most mail delivery and retail operations, which had been temporarily suspended in some locations, due to Hurricane Ida.

Effective Tuesday, September 7, 2021, almost all Post Offices beginning with ZIP Codes 700, 701, 703, and 704 will resume retail services and delivery, where it is safe to do so, with the exception of the Post Offices listed below.

These offices will either provide service via an alternate location or customers will be served by a USPS mobile retail unit at the site of their regular Post Office (where indicated). Customers will be able to conduct postal retail transactions, fill out Change of Address and Hold Mail forms, and pick up their P.O. Box mail with proper identification.

The Postal Service will continue to monitor conditions and is working to restore service as soon as it is safe to do so. We apologize for any inconvenience customers may experience and appreciate their patience. Updates will be provided as soon as they are available.
