Port moves closer to boosting dredge capability

The Port of Morgan City Harbor and Terminal District Board approved the specifications for a dredge pump to be put out for public bid during a special meeting Thursday after hearing recommendations from the committee. The board is placing two public bids: one for the pump to be completed in 120 days and one for the pump to be completed in 180 days. If an offer is not made, both bids will be pulled by July 17.
