June has been proclaimed Great Outdoors Month — an observance of special interest to the hunters, anglers and boaters of St. Mary Parish. Beginning as a week-long observation in 1998 under the Clinton ad-ministration and continuing into the current administration, Great Outdoors Month celebrates America’s natural bounty and develops appreciation for the delicate ecosystems that make this nation thrive.
