The inmate who escaped Friday from the St. Mary Parish jail in Centerville was captured Tuesday in Acadia Parish, Sheriff Scott Anslum said in a news release. The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the U.S. Marshal’s Office, worked on a number of leads that led to the capture of Jeremy Anthony Perez, 25.
