Six schools will get security features

CENTERVILLE — Six Morgan City public schools will soon have security upgrades designed to let staff members more easily see who is coming in. The St. Mary School Board voted Thursday to authorize $400,000 in District III Maintenance Committee funding for the work based on preliminary designs developed by Morgan City architect Carl P. Blum. Board member Roland Verret, who chairs the committee, said the proposal will go to the principals for input.
