PATTERSON — Mayor Rodney Grogan and Police Chief Patrick LaSalle are butting heads over more than just finances. Grogan is refusing to allow LaSalle’s city vehicle, a 2017 Ford Explorer, to be repaired by the city mechanic after a March 28 crash in which LaSalle was determined in an accident report to be at fault. Grogan cited a 2015 repair to LaSalle’s vehicle and said insurance will have to pay for the repairs this time. LaSalle said the action is another in a series of anti-police actions by Grogan.
