Morgan City government’s 2019 proposed budget looks similar to the 2018 budget with slightly higher overall expenses compared to the 2018 amended budget.
The council went through a first reading Tuesday of the city’s 2019 budget ordinance for the fiscal year beginning Jan. 1, 2019. City officials will hold a budget workshop at 4 p.m. Nov. 8 at City Hall to discuss the proposed budget.
