Only days before the release of LEAP test scores, all three east St. Mary public high schools received some national publicity for their ability to prepare students for college in 2016-17. Morgan City, Berwick and Patterson schools were listed in U.S. News & World Report’s nationwide high school rankings. The news magazine rated nearly 29,000 U.S. public high schools based on the Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate courses they offer, the percentage of AP or IB course participation and their graduation rates.
