After 45 years in law enforcement and roughly half that time as Patterson police chief, Patrick LaSalle says he’ll greatly miss the job but is proud of what he and others accomplished to ensure the community’s safety.
LaSalle, 64, who retired Friday as police chief, said he believed he fulfilled the wishes of his mother, Dorothy Vilo LaSalle, and of all those who helped him achieve what he did. Patterson voters elected him police chief six times.
“I’m leaving this moment in my life satisfied knowing that I did my best,” he said.
