La. 70 work near finish

Construction on La. 70 by Lake End Park in Morgan City is nearing completion as part of the Morgan City Levee Improvements Project. The levee improvements project involves raising and improving the city’s levee system to be able to certify the levees for 100-year flood protection and avoid potentially large flood insurance premium increases. St. Mary Parish Consolidated Gravity District No. 2 is in charge of the project.
