The biggest insurance issue facing Louisiana is the National Flood Insurance Program, which is set to expire July 31 after a series of short-term renewals, State Insurance Commissioner Jim Donelon said Wednesday. Congress also took a big step Wednesday toward renewal of that program after the U.S. House of Representatives renewed the program through end of November.
