Brownell Foundation donates bell tower, park to city

Morgan City leaders hope to keep the 106-foot tall bell tower on La. 70 as a scenic and historical spot for people to visit for many years. At Tuesday’s City Council meeting, the council authorized Mayor Frank “Boo” Grizzaffi to enter into an agreement with The Brownell Foundation for the donation of Brownell Memorial Park and Campanile, commonly known as The Carillon Tower, on La. 70.
