Berwick takes stock after the flooding

BERWICK — The Town Council got a postmortem on last week’s flash street flooding, including the problem that comes up again and again: passing cars that push standing water into homes. But that problem might be coming from an unexpected direction. Also at Tuesday’s meeting, the council changed some of the rules for trash pickup; decided to take another look at a proposed ordinance governing political signs; and passed a resolution opposing an attempt to centralize sales tax collections at the state level.
