The Berwick Town Council talked Tuesday about rules for open burning after fielding complaints about smoke from the burning of downed trees and other debris at the site of the future Southern Oaks Subdivision. The burning is close enough to Berwick High School, the town’s walking trail and Berwick Civic Center to raise concerns about the health effects, especially for young people.
